High surf advisory remains in effect

A high surf advisory remains in effect for north- and west-facing shores of Oahu, according to the National Weather Service.
Surf along north-facing shores is expected to climb to 15 to 17 feet today, with occasional sets having wave faces of up to 22 feet.
Surf along west-facing shores will rise to heights of 8 to 12 feet, with occasional sets to 15 feet.
Surf along east-facing shores will be 4 to 6 feet today while south-facing shores should see surf of 2 to 4 feet, forecasters said.
The latest west northwest swell will peak early Saturday then slowly lower through Sunday. A new northwest swell, is expected to arrive on Monday, peak Monday night or early Tuesday, then slowly lower through Wednesday.
Forerunners from another northwest swell, are expected to arrive by late Wednesday. Small southerly impulses are expected to linger through Monday.
A trade wind swell rolling up on east-facing shores will slowly lower through Sunday, but is expected to head back up late Monday through Wednesday.
