Sony Open: Wie shoots 76, finishes 14-over

Punahou senior Michelle Wie, trying rebound from disatrous round Thursday, wasn't much better Friday in the second round of the Sony Open in Hawaii at Waialae Country Club.Wie shot a 6-over 38-38—76 in another inconsistent round of eight bogeys and two birdies.
Wie, 17, who shot herself out of the tournament with an 8-over 78 Thursday, finished 14-over-par overall.
She bogeyed four of her first six holes. She would rally with two birdies.
Starting on the back nine, Wie bogeyed the second and third holes — the 194-yard, par-3 No. 11 and the 440-yard, par-4 No. 12.
She also bogeyed her sixth and seven holes.
She birdied back-to-back holes — her ninth and 10th.
But then she bogeyed four more holes during a five-hole stretch from her 13th to her 17th.
