Weekend weather shaping up nicely

The remnants of a low pressure system have almost cleared the state while a new surface-level high-pressure system is moving in north of the island chain, according to the National Weather Service.

What all of that means is drier weather is headed our way for the weekend with increasing trade winds on the horizon for early next week.

Here's a closer look at the next several days:

Today, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs around 80. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 75. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday, mostly sunny. Isolated showers in the morning. Highs around 80. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 75. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday, sunny with isolated showers. Highs around 79. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
