GROOVE WITH DIMITRI

Electronica wizard Dimitri From Paris, known for his celebrated funk/disco mix CD "A Night at the Playboy Mansion" (2000), comes to Honolulu Jan. 26 for a spin at the Lotus Soundbar, 2301 Kuhio Ave., Suite 118.

Hours: 9 p.m.-4 a.m. Cover: $10-$15; for those 21 and older. 924-1688.

And yes, his name really is Dimitri From Paris.

DAVE SPECTER IN TWO

Acclaimed jazz/blues guitarist Dave Specter, with local backing band the Dynamic Shuffle Kings, performs twice on O'ahu next month.
