Moanalua High School sophomore Tadd Fujikawa, 16, tied for eighth place, was scheduled to tee off at 12:48 p.m. today in the final round of the Sony Open in Hawaii at Waialae Country Club.

Fujikawa, who became the youngest player in 50 years to make a PGA cut, is paired with Jim Furyk, the PGA Tour's No. 2 money winner last season.

Fujikawa shot a 4-under 66 Friday to make the cut and another 66 yesterday to vault into contention.

After Saturday's round he was 7-under overall for the tournament and six shots behind leader Charles Howell III.
