Man arrested in assault complaint

Police are investigating an assault complaint by a 35-year-old man who said he was attacked with a hatchet during an argument yesterday at a park at 319 Kamehameha Highway.A Waipahu man, 23, was arrested for questioning at 7:15 p.m. yesterday near the park, and booked for assault and an outstanding $200 misdemeanor warrant.
Police said the man who said he was attacked suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment.
