Sunny weather should hold next few days

A high-pressure system to the north of the state will keep moderate trade winds blowing for the next several days, according to the National Weather Service.

Low clouds and isolated showers carried by the winds will tend to stack up over windward and mauka areas of the islands.

Here's a more detailed look at what to expect over the next few days:

Today, sunny with isolated showers. Highs around 80. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 68 to 74. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tomorrow, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs around 80. East winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tomorrow night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 68 to 74. Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 76 to 81. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 72. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
