Man arrested in connection with Waikiki beating

Police arrested a 54-year-old Waikiki man early yesterday for questioning about the beating of another man, 43, with a metal shower rod during an argument.The suspect was arrested fronting his Cleghorn Street residence at 7:10 a.m.
He was booked on suspicion of second-degree assault.
The victim was struck on his arm, back and head with the rod on the 2100 block of Ala Wai Boulevard at 5:45 a.m.
