UH QB Brennan delays announcement

Quarterback Colt Brennan said he will delay until tomorrow a decision on whether he will apply for the 2007 National Football League draft or return the University of Hawai'i for his senior season.

The application deadline for underclassmen is today, and Brennan had scheduled a news conference for this morning.

"I need more time and more information," Brennan told The Advertiser.

The NFL allows an applicant 72 hours to rescind a decision. UH spokeswoman Lois Manin said Brennan will file the application today as a way to keep open his options.

"It does not mean in any way I've made a decision," Brennan said.

He said he will announce a decision tomorrow.
