Pedestrian critical following collision

A pedestrian described as an elderly female has been taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of North King and North Beretania streets, Emergency Medical Services division officials said.The collision occurred about 11:45 a.m. today, said EMS spokesman Bryan Cheplic. He did not immediately know whether the woman was in a crosswalk when she was struck.
