Man charged for alleged threats

A 33-year-old 'Ewa Beach man was charged Saturday with breaking into his former girlfriend's residence and threatening her.

Romeo Saupan Peralta Jr. is accused of burglary and terroristic threatening. The alleged break-in occurred Dec. 22. Peralta surrendered to police Friday at 12:38 p.m.

He was released Saturday after posting $25,000 bail.



FUGITIVE TURNED IN BY U.S. CUSTOMS

A fugitive was turned over by U.S. Customs officials to state sheriff's deputies Saturday at Honolulu Airport.

Ching Cheng Wu, 30, is wanted in California on a $30,000 misdemeanor warrant, said state Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Louise Kim McCoy. Wu was being held at the Honolulu Police Department.

California will seek Wu's extradition.
