Island Princess hires Crowell as assistant manager

HONOLULU – Island Princess, producers and marketer of macadamia nuts, chocolates and gourmet confections, has hired Guy Crowell to serve as assistant plant manager for its Honolulu operation, reporting to Plant Manager Jerry Kalua.

Crowell, who holds an associate's degree from Leeward Community College, formerly was operations manager for airline caterer Gate Gourmet International, where he supervised work shifts of up to 30 employees. His responsibilities at Island Princess involve the overall plant operations, which include administration of company policies, production scheduling, inventory control, employee training, plant and equipment maintenance, and human resource matters such as attendance and employee scheduling. His 28 years of experience include sanitation, food quality and food-handling procedures as well as safety measures and quality control.
