UH QB Brennan decision postponed to Wednesday

Advertiser Staff

Fans eager to learn the future plans of University of Hawai'i junior quarterback Colt Brennan will have to wait -- again.

Brennan, the NCAA single-season record-holder in touchdown passes and passing efficiency, was scheduled to announce on Monday whether he would stay in school for his senior year or enter the NFL draft.

He postponed his announcement to Tuesday. Now, he said he will announce his decision on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Stan Sheriff.

"Because this is such an important decision that will have a big impact on what happens in my life, I want to take the maximum amount of time that is allowed to make my decision," Brennan said.

"I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may be causing. I don't mean to keep people waiting in anticipation, but I just want to make the best and most informed decision possible."

Brennan filed his papers to enter the NFL draft, but the NFL allows 72 hours to rescind the decision.
