Hawai'i prep volleyball players up for national awards

Kamehameha outside hitter Kanani Herring is a candidate for the PrepVolleyball.com National Junior Player of the Year.

Herring, the two-time Advertiser State Player of the Year, was the 2005 PrepVolleyball.com National Sophomore of the Year.

She averaged more than five kills and four digs per game for the Warriors, the 2006 state champions.

'Iolani's Kapua Kamana'o and Kamehameha's Kea Kea are candidates for the Andi Collins Award for the nation's top senior setter. Kamana'o signed with Saint Mary's and Kea is headed to Pepperdine.
