Transportation worker killed by falling tree

Advertiser Staff Writer

A state Department of Transportation worker was killed today on Kaua'i by a fallen tree.

The man was part of a crew doing road maintenance work in Kalihiwai on the North Shore at about 2 p.m. The man died at the scene.

Details about the accident were not immediately available.
