Police Beat: Teen held on suspicion of armed robbery

A 17-year-old Nanakuli boy was arrested last night after he allegedly held up a convenience store and then robbed a boy and his girlfriend at gunpoint.At 10:30 p.m., police said, the teen walked into a convenience store, pulled out a gun and demanded money. The boy then fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
A short time later, the boy confronted a 16-year-old boy and his girlfriend and demanded money. The 17-year-old then hit the 16-year-old boy three times before running away, police said.
Responding officers arrested the 17-year-old on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
Arrest follows report of struggle over ring
A 31-year-old man was arrested this morning on suspicion of trying to wrestle a ring away from a 23-year-old woman on Tuesday.
The woman told police she met the man at a Honolulu night club early Tuesday morning. She told police that at 2:18 a.m., the man asked for her ring then tried to forcibly take it from her. The woman was able to run away with her ring. This morning she spotted the man and called police.
Responding officers found the man in possession of a small amount of cocaine, police said. He was arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery and third-degree possession of a dangerous drug.
Three men report kidnapping
Three men were kidnapped from the parking lot of a Honolulu bar and driven around in the back of a van last night before being released.
The men, two of whom are 34 and one 25, told police two "large men" walked into the bar and told them that the trio's vehicle had damaged their car. In the parking lot, the two men forced the group into a van at the corner of Kapi'olani Boulevard and Atkinson Drive.
In the van, the three were bound hand and foot with tape and were blindfolded. The three were driven around while the men talked to them, police said.
The three were later released and told police that they need not investigate, police said.
