Miss Hawai'i to depart for Miss America Pageant

Miss Hawai'i Pilialoha Gaison will leave Honolulu tonight for the Jan. 29 Miss America Pageant, which will be televised live from the Aladdin Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.An Island send-off is planned at 9 p.m. at the Hawaiian Airlines terminal. Friends and well-wishers may bid her aloha. In addition, local pageant officials are asking for public support during the pageant, when viewers can call in votes for their favorite contestant.
The finals will air at 8 p.m. Jan. 29 on CMT, the country music cable station (Oceanic 587).
