Hoku Scientific adds Dean Hirata to board

Dean K. Hirata, vice chairman and chief financial officer of Central Pacific Financial Corp., has been elected to Hoku Scientific Inc.'s board of directors.Hirata, 49, fills a vacancy created when former director Lloyd Fujie died last month. Hirata will serve as chairman of board's Audit Committee.
