The resort will be patterned after resorts in the Philippine islands of Boracay and Palawan, Pearl Asian said in a new release distributed by Business Wire.

"The PAIM Eco-Tourism village will allow American nature-lovers, in particular, to experience an Asian paradise right within the USA," said Pearl Asian CEO Jason Piamonte in the statement. He said construction will start next month and be completed later this year.
