Mostly sunny skies in today's forecast

More showers are expected toward the end of the weekend, but today's forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with scattered showers, highs 73 to 79 degrees and east winds 10 to 15 mph, the National Weather Service said.

There is a 50 percent chance of rain today, but most will fall in mauka and windward areas.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers, lows 60 to 71, east winds 10 to 15 mph and a 50 percent chance of rain.

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny with scattered showers, highs 72 to 78, east winds 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts and 50 percent chance of rain.

Tomorrow night: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers, lows 59 to 69, southeast winds 10 to 15 mph and a 50 percent chance of rain.

Saturday: Partly sunny with scattered showers, highs 73 to 79, southeast winds 10 to 15 mph and a 50 percent chance of rain.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers, lows 60 to 70, east winds around 10 mph and a 40 percent chance of rain.

Sunday: Partly sunny with scattered showers, highs 72 to 79, light winds, 50 percent chance of rain.

Sunday night: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers, lows 60 to 69, northwest winds around 10 mph, 50 percent chance of rain.
