Water pipe fixed, Nimitz opened this morning

Nimitz Highway between Bethel Stret and Bishop Street is now open following repairs to a ruptured water line.Board of Water Supply work crews were called at 3:25 a.m. after contractors working on the road cut too deep in the cement and hit the lateral line, which is an offshoot of the water main.
One building, at 122 Halekauwila St., was without water this morning until about 6 a.m. when the pipe was fixed.
