TripAdvisor: Four Seasons Maui top for romance

The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea was selected as the best hotel in the world for romance in the 2006 Traveler's Choice awards by Web site TripAdvisor.com.Four Hawai'i hotels -- the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa,the West Maui Resort and Spa, the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa and the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai -- also were among the top five in terms of having the best pool in the U.S., according to the TripAdvisor, which gives the awards based on a popularity index on its site as well as travel ratings of property attributes.
Hawai'i resorts also ranked well in terms of service, occupying three of the top 10 spots for best service in the U.S. These included the Four Seasons Resort Maui, the Four Seasons Resort Lana'i at Manele Bay and the Halekulani.
Additionally, The Four Seasons Resort Maui ranked 10th in a ranking of service at hotels worldwide.
Among other categories, Wai Ola Vacation Paradise on Maui was listed among the top 10 "hidden gems" in the U.S. No properties in Hawai'i made the list of best hotels for families, best bargains or dirtiest hotels.
