"An Inconvenient Truth" at the Capitol

Advertiser Staff

Al Gore's thought-provoking environmental film "An Inconvenient Truth" will be shown at a free screening today at the Capitol Auditorium.

Sierra Club director Jeff Mikulina, who recently received training from Gore on the presentation featured in the film, will speak before the 1 p.m. screening.

The 110-minute film looks at the effects of global warming. A question and answer session and discussion will follow.

Billed as "the most terrifying film you will ever see," Gore's film explores the impacts of humankind's continuing global experiment with greenhouse gas emissions.

State Reps. Hermina Morita (D-Hanalei) and Cynthia Thielen (R-Kane'ohe) are sponsoring the screening.

Seating is first come, first served.
