Roosevelt topples No. 5 Kaimuki, 46-43

Daniel Arruda scored 12 points, including two free throws with two seconds left, lifting the host Roosevelt Rough Riders to a 46-43 victory over the fifth-ranked Kaimuki Bulldogs last night in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red East game.

Jason Nutter scored on a driving bank shot with seven seconds left to put Roosevelt ahead 44-43.

After Arruda's free throws, Kaimuki, which has lost two in a row, failed to get off a shot.
