Advertiser Staff

A lifeguard on a jet ski helped rescue three visitors today at Larson's Beach on Kaua'i's North Shore.

The three men were struggling in strong current 150 yards off shore, according to Kaua'i County spokeswoman Mary Daubert. One visitor was treated at the scene by emergency medical technicians and released, while the other two did not require medical treatment, said Daubert.

Lifeguards, firefighters and rescue specialists from the Hanalei and Lihu'e fire stations, along with Coast Guard personnel and emergency medical technicians, responded to the call at about12:15 p.m.
