Sunday Advertiser still being delivered

Advertiser Staff

Some portions of your Sunday Advertiser are still being delivered on O'ahu, and the circulation department hopes to have a complete paper to all subscribers this evening.

The electricity at the Advertiser's Kapolei print plant went out about 11:30 p.m. Saturday and was restored about 12:50 a.m. today. But the presses could not be restarted until 6 a.m.

The Advertiser will go out to subscribers as soon as possible.

Some subscribers earlier received the paper but were missing the front, local news and sports sections.

The press had to be reconfigured to get it restarted, so two pages had to be dropped out of the sports section. The college basketball coverage, National Basketball Association coverage and the "For the Record" feature on pages 5 and 6 had to be removed.

"We apologize for any inconvenience to Sunday Advertiser readers," said Mike Fisch, Advertiser president and publisher.
