Honolulu Police asking for help with two cases

Shawn A. Naputi is a suspect in thefts of Macy's stores on O‘ahu.

Honolulu police are asking for help with solving two cases. Anyone with information about the following incidents is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300, or *CRIME on a cellular phone.

  • Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with a robbery at KFC, 98-316 Kamehameha Highway.

    The man walked into the restaurant at about 2:30 p.m. Jan. 7, approached the counter, brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspect fled in an unknown direction in a white vehicle with the stolen license plate NFW-274, police said.

    He is described as being in his mid-20s. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, dark-colored bandanna, sunglasses, and blue denim long pants.

  • Police are looking for Shawn A. Naputi, in connection with several thefts from O'ahu Macy's stores.

    Naputi and a woman allegedly entered the Macy's in Ala Moana Center at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, picked up several Tori Richard aloha shirts and left the store without paying. The female was arrested at the scene. Naputi fled on foot in an unknown direction.

    He is also wanted for thefts from other Macy's stores.
