  • Nishihama & Kishida CPAs has announced the promotion of Brian S. Isobe to principal. Isobe began his 24-year career with the company in 1982. He has had extensive experience in audit and management consulting services in the commercial, nonprofit and government sectors.

  • REED OGINO has been named vice president of sales and marketing for Meadow Gold Dairies of Hawai'i, overseeing sales and distribution for Maui, Kaua'i and O'ahu operations. Ogino began at Meadow Gold in 1988 as distribution supervisor, and has been manager at both the Maui and Kaua'i branch during separate periods.

  • The Building Industry Association of Hawai'i has announced its officers for 2007. They are: president: Bill Paik of Grace Pacific Corp.; president-elect: Mary K. Flood of DR Horton-Schuler Division; vice president: Mike Brant of Gentry Homes Ltd.; secretary: Doug Pearson of Castle & Cooke Homes Hawaii Inc.; treasurer: Marlene Lum of American Savings Bank; special appointee-builder: Paul Silen of Hawaiian Dredging Construction Co.; special appointee-associate: Peter Eldridge of Servco Raynor Overhead Doors Inc.; immediate past president: Alan Shintani of Alan Shintani Inc.; and chief executive officer: Karen Nakamura of BIA-Hawai'i. The 450 member group is made up of developers, contractors, suppliers, Realtors, architects, financial institutions and other professionals.

  • DEANNA A. KING, LELAND NYE and MARC HIGUCHI have been hired as management executives at Hawaiiana Management Co. Ltd. Hawaiiana, with offices on O'ahu, Maui and the Big Island, is the only Hawai'i-based management company to appear in the national Commercial Property News rankings, taking 38th place nationally in terms of square footage and units managed.

  • Asset Mortgage of Hawai'i LLC has named TONY KUMAMARU chief operating officer. Kumamaru, who has been with the firm about a year, assumes his new position at a time the firm plans to open additional branches in Hawai'i and on the Mainland.

    Architecture and design firm Pacific Asia Design Group has hired architect ROLAND V. RESURRECCION and interior designer JoAnn T. Bottom. A Lana'i native, Resurreccion previously was an architect and project manager with SchenkelSchultz Architecture in Fort Wayne, Ind. Bottom was formerly with Yamasato Fujiwara Higa and Associates Inc.
