Kalaheo's Cheynne Lishman scored 12 points and had 15 rebounds as the Mustangs beat Moanalua, 57-39, in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association basketball showdown Wednesday.

Kalaheo, ranked No. 4 in The Advertiser's statewide Top 10 poll of coaches and media, improved to 8-1 in the OIA Red Conference Eastern Division. Moanalua, ranked No. 6, fell to 5-3.

Lishman hit two 3-pointers in the game and made a crucial putback in the fourth quarter after Stevie Austin's layup cut Moanalua's deficit to 42-37 with 5:29 left.

On the ensuing possession, Kalaheo's Cliffton Pires was fouled and he made the front end of a one-and-one, but missed the second. The 6-foot-1 Lishman tipped the ball in the hoop to give Kalaheo a 45-37 lead.

"It worked out good," said Lishman, whose basket sparked a 14-2 run to end the game.
