HTA releases monies for local sporting events

The Hawaii Tourism Authority announced Wednesday 12 local programs will receive a total of $800,000 in funding in 2007.Haili Men's Volleyball Tournament (March 26-31)

• Kaua'i World Challenge (ocean sports) (May 10-12)
• Maui Jim Hawai'i Marlin Tournament Series (June through Oct.)
• Duke's OceanFest (Aug. 19-27)
• Na Wahine O Ke Kai (Sept. 28)
• Moloka'i Hoe (Oct. 8)
• Ford Ironman World Championships (Oct. 13)
• Xterra World Championships (Oct. 28)
• EA Sports Maui Invitational (Nov. 19-21)
• Vans Triple Crown of Surfing (Nov. 12 to Dec. 20)
• Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl (Dec. 24)
