Kamehameha Schools awards $8.7 million in grants

Kamehameha Schools is awarding $8.7 million today in one-time grants to boost charter schools and child/family education centers in homeless complexes.The grants were announced at an 11 a.m. news conference at Ka Wai Hona 'oka Na'auao Library at the former Nanaikapono Elementary School. The addres is 89-195 Farrington Highway, Nanakuli.
Kamehameha Schools CEO Dee Jay Mailer, along with partners and recipients will take part.
