State upgrades online filing system for businesses

The state has upgraded its online system for businesses having to make annual filings with its Business Registration Division that should make it easier to complete the process.The improvements include validation of addresses, better editing functions for officer information, sample filings and better itemization of fees, the state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs said in a news statement.
Last year 60 percent of Hawai'i businesses submitted their annual filings online.
