Chef Mavro extends Valentine's Day menu

Every Chef Mavro table has long been booked for Feb. 14. But gastronomes can still get a taste of the special Valentine's Day menu. Tables are available Saturday, Feb. 10 through "Valentine's Eve" Feb. 13. Chef Mavro, which is normally closed on Mondays, will be open on Feb. 12.You can choose from four- or six-course V-day special menus, which include his stellar new fish dish, poached day boat catch (hope it's hapu'upu'u) in a sago-coconut nage and Kobe-style beef (roasted bavette and braised short rib) in a Pinot Noir sauce.
Cost: Four-course is $71 without wine, $115 with; six-course is $102 without wine, $149 with.
