Hawaii 2nd-most searched U.S. destination on Web

Hawai'i was the second-most searched destination for U.S. Internet users at major search engines in 2006, according to a ranking by Hitwise, a New York-based company that measures Internet use.The Aloha State ranked second only to Las Vegas when it came to cities or states searched on the sites, Hitwise said. The company looked at the most popular U.S. queries from 10 million U.S. Internet users in coming up with the ranking.
