Hawai'i firms landed $17M in venture capital last year

Seven Hawai'i companies received $17.1 million in venture capital last year, according to the MoneyTree Report released today by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association. The identities of the companies were not disclosed.It was most raised by Hawai'i companies since 2001.
Venture capitalists invested $25.5 billion in 3,416 deals in 2006.
