Brothers sought in Puna home invasion

HILO, Hawai'i — Big Island police were seeking two brothers in connection with a home invasion burglary and assault in the Puna subdivision of 'Ainaloa late in the evening of Jan. 11.

Police were called to the home just before midnight, and were told two men had entered the house and attacked one of the occupants.

A 40-year-old man was injured, but did not require immediate medical attention, police said.

Police are investigating whether the men who entered the home were familiar with the people there that night.

Police are looking for 21-year-old Jessie Campbell and 25-year-old Calvin Campbell for questioning, but have not named the two as suspects in the case.

Jessie Campbell is 5 feet 10 and weighs 150 pounds. He has a slim build, brown eyes, short black hair and a fair complexion.

Calvin Campbell is 5 feet 7 and weighs 150 pounds. He is bald, with a medium build and a tan complexion.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of either man is asked to call Detective Darren Horio at 961-2385 or the police department's nonemergency number at 935-3311.
