Architects and artists speak on affordable housing tomorrow

Advertiser Staff

As part of the exhibition "Shelter," the Hawai'i Arts Alliance is hosting a dialogue on affordable housing — from the architectural point of view — from 3 to 5:30 p.m. tomorrow at The ARTS at Marks Garage. Speaking at "HABITAT Sustainable, Green and Affordable: How do we do it?" will be Virginia Carabelli, who secured the first permit in the U.S. for straw bale housing and started a shelter revolution in New Mexico; Joe Hagedorn, Visual Effects Inc; and Amy Anderson and Sean Connelly of the University of Hawai'i-Manoa's School of Architecture.
