WAILUA – Kaua'i County officials have announced that the Wailua Motocross Track has been reopened.
"All of the necessary paperwork was submitted to us (Wednesday) afternoon, so we were able to issue a permit to KMRA (Kaua'i Motocross Racing Association) allowing them use of the track," said Bernard Carvalho, director of the Offices of Community Assistance. "We're pleased that this issue has been resolved."
Carvalho said he is continuing to hold discussions with local motocross clubs to ensure a smooth transition.
The next race scheduled at the Wailua track will be March 25. Until then, the motocross clubs plan to use the track to practice.
