Man arrested in gunpoint threat incident

A 45-year-old convicted felon was arrested Sunday after he allegedly threatened a 35-year-old man and his family.

At 5:20 a.m. Sunday the older man went to the younger man's house and the two got into an argument, police said.

The older man then reportedly pointed a gun at the younger man and threatened him and his family.

The younger man and family members were reportedly able to wrestle the gun away from the assailant.

The 45-year-old man then tried to run but responding patrol officers caught him, police said. He was then arrested on suspicion of terroristic threatening, being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and illegal storage of a firearm, police said.

Man reports downtown gunpoint robbery

Police are looking for two men who robbed another man at gunpoint in a downtown city parking lot this morning.

A man told police that at 1:50 a.m. he was sitting in his car surfing the Internet on his laptop when two men approached. One of the men reportedly brandished a handgun and pointed it at the man in his car. The other man took the man's laptop, keys to his car, cellular phone, driver's license, credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

Couple sought in gunpoint robbery in Kane'ohe

A 47-year-old man was forced into his car early Sunday and robbed at gunpoint in Kane'ohe, police said.

At 12:15 a.m. Sunday in the 45-600 block of Kamehameha Highway in Kane'ohe, a man in his 30s forced the older man into his car at gunpoint and told him to drive to another location.

A woman in her 30s followed the pair in a truck.

The man took the older man's keys, phone and wallet before getting into the truck with the woman and speeding off, police said.

Police are continuing to look for the couple.
