Alison Levine, the Wall Street whiz born with a life-threatening heart condition who eventually became one of the most experienced female mountaineers in the country, will deliver the keynote luncheon address at HerStory 2007. The theme for this year's event is "Overcoming Your Obstacles, Pursuing Your Passions."

HerStory is the Junior League of Honolulu's annual conference for women. This year's event will be held at the Hawaii Convention Center on March 2.

The welcome address will be delivered by Cynthia Derosier, author of "The Surfer Spirit."

The event will feature workshops on career, relationships, parenting and style.

Full-day registrations include the Levine luncheon address, the Derosier welcome address and a choice of two HerStory workshops featuring dynamic local speakers.

Cost for the conference is $98 for the full day or $68 for the Alison Levine lunch only ($15 additional after Feb, 23).

The Junior League of Honolulu, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
