UH hoops not selected for BracketBusters TV game

Advertiser Staff

The University of Hawaii men's basketball team was not selected to participate in one of the ESPN BracketBusters television games, it was announced Monday.

The Rainbow Warriors will still get to play a non-conference road game on Feb. 17, and that opponent will be determined on Tuesday.

All nine teams from the Western Athletic Conference were candidates for the 13 televised BracketBusters games, but only Boise State, Nevada, Utah State and New Mexico State were selected.

Northern Iowa will play at Nevada; Albany will play at Boise State; Utah State will play at Oral Roberts; Ohio will play at New Mexico State.

Only the 13 games that get selected for broadcast on one of the ESPN networks are considered BracketBusters games.
