Hiker rescued from Diamond Head trail

Firefighters carried a 70-year-old woman to safety Tuesday morning after she injured an ankle while hiking on the Diamond Head trail.
She was about third of the way up the trail when the call for assistance was received, at 11:18 a.m., rescue workers said.
City paramedics took the woman to Straub Clinic and Hospital where she was reported to be in stable condition upon arrival.
