Services on Friday for fallen soldier with Hawai'i ties

Memorial services for Army Spc. Toby R. Olsen, a Mililani High School graduate killed in Iraq earlier this month, are set for Friday.

Visitation will be held 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Borthwick Mortuary, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will take place at 11:30 a.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Aloha attire.

Olsen, 28, was one of four soldiers killed Jan. 20 in Karma, Iraq, when a roadside bomb detonated near their Humvee, the Department of Defense reported.

The soldiers were assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 509th Infantry (Airborne), 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division out of Fort Richardson, Alaska.

Olsen moved to Hawai'i with his family in the early 1990s. At the time of his death, he was a resident of Manchester, N.H.
