Body cutlery exhibit begins Friday

Body cutlery, an art form evolved from Slave Art that uses sterling silverware to make rings, bracelets, earrings, pendants and other jewelry, will be celebrated as part of an exhibit running at the Pacific Traditions Gallery, part of the Pacific Justice and Reconciliation Center on North Pauahi Street.

The exhibit runs Feb. 2-23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, as part of Black History Month. Body cutlery classes will take place every Saturday in February. For information, call Umi at 284-8868.
