More wind, scattered showers in forecast for the week

Continued strong southwest winds and scattered showers remain in the National Weather Service's forecast for most of the state, with a strong cold front approaching Kaua'i on Wednesday night that will move through the island chain.

Wednesday: Partly sunny with scattered showers, southwest winds 15 mph to 30 mph, highs 73 to 80 and a 40 percent chance of rain.

Wednesday night: Mostly cloudy, scattered showers in the evening, then showers likely after midnight. Breezy. Lows 58 to 67. Southwest winds 15 mph to 25 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Thursday: Partly sunny with scattered showers. Highs 70 to 77. West winds 10 mph to 20 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Lows 54 to 64. Northwest winds 10 mph to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Friday: Mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 68 to 76. Northwest winds 15 mph to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with scattered showers. Lows 54 to 61. Northwest winds 15 mph to 20 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 68 to 75. North winds 10 mph to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
