North Shore surf drops after 30-foot overnight highs

Surf along northern shores will be 12 feet to 18 feet Wednesday, the National Weather Service said. Despite the drop, from about 30 feet overnight, a high-surf warning remained in effect until 6 a.m.Surf along west shores will be decreasing 6 feet to 12 feet.
Surf along east shores will be 3 feet to 5 feet, and surf along south shores will be 2 feet to 4 feet.
