Religious leaders to attend spiritual center dedication

Religious leaders from diverse faith groups will attend the dedication of the Counseling & Spiritual Care Center of Hawaii at 11 a.m. Thursday.Formerly the Samaritan Counseling Center, the newly renamed center offers faith-based and other counseling.
Gov. Linda Lingle will attend as well as Bishop Chikai Yosemori and the Rev. Thomas Okano from the Honpa Hongwanji, Rabbi Peter Schaktman from Temple Emanu-El, the Rev. Barbara Grace Ripple from the United Methodist Church, elder Jack Hogue from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Rev. Sky St. John from Unity Church, Bishop Randolph Sykes from the Inclusive Orthodox Church, the Rev. Dr. David Hirano from the United Church of Christ, the Rev. Larry Fisher representing the Catholic Diocese of Hawaii.
