Advertiser Staff

The Honolulu City & County Employees Federal Credit Union has officially begun operating as the Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union.

The name change received the approval of the National Credit Union Administration and other local regulatory approvals are expected. The organization will gradually change signs and other materials to reflect the new name in coming months.

"We are changing our name to Aloha Pacific FCU to better reflect our service philosophy as we grow membership and improve products and services," said Wallace Watanabe, the credit union's president and chief executive.

The Honolulu City & County Employees Federal Credit Union is the third largest credit union in Hawaii with more than $415 million in assets.
