Maui brushfire 100% contained as of Saturday afternoon

The fire at Olowalu, Maui, remained 100 percent contained as of late Saturday afternoon, Maui County officials said.Fire officials reported that the perimeters are holding and they continued to monitor hotspots with mild wind conditions all day.
Nineteen fire fighters remained on scene, including 12 wildland fire fighters from the state's Divisionof Forestry and Wildlife.
The fire burned an estimated 2,600 acres since it began Wednesday morning.
The cause is still being investigated.
