Power restored after car hits utility pole on Wilder Avenue

Police, firefighters and paramedics were sent to the area fronting 1547 Wilder Avenue early this morning in response to reports that a car has crashed into a utility pole, knocking down the wires and causing a power failure in the immediate area.The crash was reported about 5:10 a.m.
There were no injuries, said EMS personnel.
Hawaiian Electric Co. said power was restored to
about 2,800 affected homes within an hour.
